I have honestly never really been THAT into make up. I love a good stroll through Sephora but the endless ailes of products, high price tags and quite honestly the smell, would overwhelm me. Plus, I'm a busy mom with not much time on her hands. I have about 5 minutes to spend, so my routine needs to be simple, but effective. Luckily, BeautyCounter makes it incredibly simple.

When I became a mama, everything changed. Who I was physically, mentally and emotionally. The constant rollercoaster of emotions in a sea of exhaustion caught up with me and I wanted to do everything in my power to change my situation. I decided to get educated about my hormones and everything that can affect them. I remember watching a documentary called Stink that highlighted the negative affects of chemicals in our skin care products, so I poured out my make-up bag and read every skin care label in my house and learned the ugly truth about how unregulated these products are. Most, if not all of my make up ranked high in known carcinogenic causing chemicals and contained toxins that have been linked to infertility and hormone disruption.

Our lifestyle, genetics and environment can all affect our hormones but there is also something to look out for; endocrine disruptors. Endocrine disruptors are chemicals that can interfere with our hormones and can cause cancerous tumors, birth defects, and other developmental disorders.
These endocrine disruptors can play a big toll on our bodies
