by letting go, I found food freedomFour simple ingredients that hold a lot of weight. I used to be afraid of bread. Well, afraid of the power I gave it, with a lot of foods actually.
I was desperately grasping for control. I weighed, counted and calculated everything. Every food was either good or bad, and as long as I could stick to the plan of eating exactly what was “good” in the right amounts, then my life would be perfect, I would be perfect. This tight grasp on control doesn’t stick forever, we were not intended to live as robots, we flow with the seasons and evolve. Once I realized control and perfection didn’t really exist, I let go and allowed life to happen. Somewhere down the road, I found this love for bread making. This simple act of creating something sustainable, earthy and delicious for my family, the simple act of mixing flour, water, salt and yeast, like humans have been doing for centuries, fills me with so much gratitude. Take part in your food, take part in the experience of eating and find something, and then tell the story. clean livingIts time for better products in our homeWhether its DIY or splurges you believe in, I want to know what you use in your homes! Ever since I began learning about the chemicals in our industry, I became so passionate about the getting rid of the ugly, and replacing with better products! I started with my skin care routine since %80 of what goes on your skin gets absorbed into your blood stream. Now, I'm branching out to make up, body products, and home products, let's learn together!

ABOUT MEI am Ashley Gray; a wife, mother, amateur bread baker, recipe collector and unyielding enthusiast. I am obsessed with non-toxic living and learning how to homestead in our tiny townhome. I love my tribe fiercely, and also created a bread club for other mothers to connect and be seen, because in motherhood if there's one think I know to be true, its that it really does take a village.
